That project eventually fell apart despite a cast and script in place, and now a new documentary is hoping to shed some light on exactly what happened to the Justice League that never was.
Director Ryan Unicomb has announced his intentions, along with producers Aaron Cater and Steven Caldwell, to produce a documentary on the lost Justice League film,
tentatively titled Miller’s Justice League Mortal. First revealed by Unicomb to Inside Film, the Australian director said he and his producing partners have yet to approach Miller and his producer, Doug Mitchell. First, they wanted to see what sort of response such a project would elicit from fans.
Miller’s Justice League film was set to star Adam Brody as the Flash, D.J. Cotrona as Superman, Armie Hammer as Batman, and Megan Gale (who appeared in Miller’s Fury Road) as Wonder Woman. The project was first announced in 2007.
Of course, moviegoers will stil see the Justice League on the big screen, albeit in a different form: Warner Bros. announced plans for two Justice League films as part of its new cinematic universe that began with Man of Steel.Time for Justice To Rule
